This policy explains what information Solitris collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. It applies to every version of Solitris offered by Hot Chai Productions, LLC ("we", "us"), on every platform where it's available.
Your settings and game progress are saved on your device. Solitris doesn't ask for your name, contacts, photos or precise location.
To understand how Solitris is played and to improve it, the game sends usage events (for example, starting or finishing a level, or watching an ad) to our analytics service provider. Each event includes the game's version, the platform, the operating system and the device model. Events are labelled with a random identifier created for your installation, or, if you sign in, an identifier derived from your account by a one-way hash; we never send your screen name or email address. Our analytics provider is set not to store IP addresses or to use them to estimate your location.
Solitris also fetches settings from our service providers that let us adjust the game without an update (for example, how often ads appear), sending the same identifier, platform and version.
When Solitris crashes or hits an error, it sends a crash report to our crash reporting service provider so we can fix the problem. A report contains technical details (what the game was doing, the error, the app version, the operating system and the device model) and the same identifier as above. Crash reports don't include your name, email address or any other personal details, and our crash reporting provider is set not to store IP addresses.
The free version of Solitris on Android and iOS may show ads. Ads are served through an ad mediation platform, which works with other ad networks. These partners may collect your device's advertising identifier, your IP address, information about your device, and how you interact with ads, in order to show ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure them and, where you allow it, personalize them.
On Android and iOS, we may use an attribution service provider to measure which of our advertising campaigns, if any, led to an install, and the purchases and ad revenue that follow. It may receive information about your device, your IP address and, where you allow it, your device's advertising identifier.
If you create an account or sign in, Solitris's servers, which we run ourselves or with a service provider on our behalf, store a player identifier, your screen name, what you need to sign in (such as a passkey, or the identifier of the account you sign in with), and your progress and results, including leaderboards that other players can see. Our servers also keep logs, including IP addresses, for a short time to keep the service secure and to stop abuse. We may change a screen name that is offensive.
In-app purchases are processed by the app store you got Solitris from. We receive a receipt that confirms what you bought, never your payment details.
Older versions of Solitris may use different service providers for the purposes described in this policy, and keep using them until you update the game.
We use the information described above only to run Solitris, fix problems, improve the game, show and measure ads, and measure our advertising. We share it only with the service providers named in this policy, who process it on our behalf, and with ad partners as described under Advertising. We don't sell your personal information for money. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. To delete your account and the information our server holds about you, or to ask what we hold, email support@hotchaigames.com with the subject "Solitris data deletion request". We'll confirm by email when it's done. Information kept only on your device is removed when you delete the game.
Solitris isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
We take reasonable measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction, and we restrict access to the people who need it to operate the game.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post changes on this page and update the date above, and give more prominent notice of significant changes.
